NAFA Addresses Funding Strategies for Corporate Fleet Managers at Institute & Expo
"Funding Strategies" offers fleet managers a primer on what management is looking for when it comes to funding a corporation, how fleet fits in, trends in the marketplace, and how they can help themselves in the eyes of corporate management.
Detroit, MI, April 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- While conditions have somewhat eased since last year's credit crunch, corporate fleet managers cannot let the improved conditions lull them into complacency as funding remains an extremely important issue. NAFA will address the topic in "Funding Strategies" on Saturday, April 24 during the Association's annual Institute & Expo at the Cobo Center in Detroit.
The session will give fleet managers a primer on what management is looking for when it comes to funding a corporation, how fleet fits in, trends in the marketplace, and how they can help themselves in the eyes of corporate management.
"The corporate funding session at NAFA brings together true experts on this complex topic," explained Ed Pierce, Vice President of Marketing for Automotive Resources International, who will moderate the session. "More importantly, they represent three unique perspectives – the views from a corporate funding banking representative, a fleet management company Chief Financial Officer, and a corporate CFO whose company operates a fleet.
"Together, they will help fleet decision-makers understand the funding types, the terminology, and the past, present, and future of corporate funding. Attendees will be better positioned to support their corporation's funding strategies while helping to ensure efficient, uninterrupted fleet operations."
Attendees will learn the benefits of each particular type of funding, how they can choose the option that best suits their company's corporate and funding strategies, and hear about new trends in the marketplace.
Faculty for the session includes: Erle Archer, Principal, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Charlotte, NC; Brian Bates, Senior Vice President, Finance, Automotive Resources International, Mount Laurel, NJ; and Paul Hensley, CPA, Controller, HOLT CAT, San Antonio, TX.
"Funding Strategies" is just one of more than 40 different educational sessions – adding up to over 60 hours of fleet training, education, and workshops -- at this year's Institute & Expo. The I&E marks NAFA's return to Detroit for the first time since the 1980s and features Keynote Addresses from high-ranking executives of the Detroit 3 including Robert A. Lutz, Vice Chairman of General Motors; Mark Fields, Executive Vice President of Ford Motor Company; and Peter Grady, Vice President – Network Development & Fleet of Chrysler Group LLC.
