Oasis Imagery Launches New Media Studio
Hollywood, CA, April 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Oasis Imagery today announced the launch of its on-set production and post production facility. As Hollywood’s newest DI and post production provider, Oasis Imagery delivers services to both studio and independent communities, supporting feature film, episodic television, commercial and trailer projects.
“In building our facility, we thought about tomorrow’s technology today,” said Scot Barbour, Chief Visionary Officer of Oasis Imagery. “For example, the recent resurgence of 3D has provided a gamut of new technologies from acquisition to delivery. We have positioned ourselves to provide services for these and other new developments on the horizon.”
Located in the heart of Hollywood, the newly renovated multi-million dollar facility specializes in technologically advanced and cost effective file-based workflows. The post production retreat offers a 50-seat 2D/3D digital intermediate and screening theater featuring delivery for RealD, Dolby 3D and XpanD. Oasis Imagery’s 3D workflows, beginning with on-set dailies, allow the Final Cut Pro or Avid editor to work in 2D or 3D at any time during the editorial process. Multiple 3D editorial bays also allow editors to work in parallel, and check any edit on both local monitors as well as the 3D screening theater.
“We are really excited about our beautiful DI theater. Most facilities have one or two formats for 3D viewing, but we chose to install all three of the most widely used 3D technologies,” said Adam Green, Chief Technology Officer for Oasis Imagery. “This means that a Director can view his color grade in RealD one minute, and switch to Dolby 3D or XpanD the next.”
Oasis Imagery also excels in on-set services, allowing Directors and DPs greater creative control of a project during production. Streamlined on-set workflows allow a cost-effective transition to the digital intermediate/digital grading in post production. In addition, Oasis Imagery’s expert preview screening team has supported over 300 feature film screenings for major studios and independents.
Additional services include 4K/2K/HD digital intermediate, color correction, creative and online conform, scanning and recording, visual effects, sound editorial and mixing, duplication, transcoding and digital cinema packaging.
