Iranian-American Author, Fred Kashani, Has Published His Second Novel – Hero Pizza

Los Angeles, CA, April 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Iranian-American author, Fred Kashani, has published his second novel – Hero Pizza. The novel is loosely based on his upbringing in Los Angeles, California. “The novel is a lighthearted look at my experience of coming of age in California during the aftermath of the Iranian Hostage Crisis and the Iranian Revolution,” the author said.

About the Book

“Mo” Shirazi thought he left his childhood behind when he moved to New York to pursue an art career and escape from his parent's traditional Iranian ways. When he returns to his hometown of Los Angeles to visit his parents he finds himself being treated like a child again. The only way he can spend time with his father is to work for him at his pizza restaurant, Hero Pizza. When he takes a much-needed break to meet his mother for lunch she spends the whole time trying to arrange a marriage for him. Will he be able to convince his parents to recognize his newfound independence?

Fred Kashani is an Iranian-American freelance writer who was born and raised in the United States of America. Hero Pizza is his second novel. His first novel, Poetry Lessons, was published in 2007. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California and is considering adopting a dog.
