ZE Contributes to the University of Houston's Energy Trading Systems Course
Richmond, Canada, April 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- ZE PowerGroup Inc. (ZE) is pleased to announce their continued participation in the "Energy Trading Systems" course put on by the Decision and Information Sciences (DISC) Department of the University of Houston, Bauer College of Business. This ground breaking course is designed to provide students with an overview of the information technology that is used to support energy trading and risk management. As the developers of ZEMA Suite, ZE's participation in the course offers students access to lecturers with thorough understanding of data issues, analytics, client support, transactional procession, compliance, security and control in the energy market; all of which are focal points of the program.
CEO and President of ZE Dr. Zak El-Ramly will be attending as guest lecturer on Saturday April 17th, 2010. His lecture will provide an understanding of how to build software systems to support trade and risk management activities.
Waleed El-Ramly, COO Product Development, delivered the initial guest lecture at the introduction of the course. He states "It was great to see the amount of energy the students had. I've been in the industry for quite a while and this course content is right on the money. I think these students will have a very distinct advantage over other candidates when it comes to applying for jobs in the future. They are a very bright bunch."
In addition to participating in the course lectures, ZE has donated access to ZEMA Analyzer as a tool for use in lab exercises. The tool is being used by the students as a basis for gaining a deeper understanding of market data patterns and analytics. As a company who actively supports early education, student internship, university coop support and the hiring of new graduates, ZE hopes to continue to contribute to the program well into the future.
Also generously contributing to the course are DMS, CommodityPoint, the University of Houston alumni and energy consultant, Mr. Ed Bell. The course has been in effect since January 23, 2010.
