The Leapfrog Group Announces New Business Partnership with Quantros to Administer Leapfrog Hospital Survey
Quantros will support The Leapfrog Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Environment
San Francisco, CA, April 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Leapfrog Group has selected Quantros, a leading healthcare software and services provider of data management, decision support analytics, and clinical business intelligence solutions, to service and administer the online Leapfrog Hospital Survey. The Survey annually collects safety, quality, and efficiency data from over 1200 hospitals across the country and then publicly reports results online (www.leapfroggroup.org/cp). Quantros will replace Thomson-Reuters Healthcare, which is currently fielding the 2010 Survey and will incrementally transition out of that role over the coming months, with Quantros assuming 100% responsibility for fielding the Survey in September 2010.
“Thomson-Reuters has served us extremely well since our founding ten years ago, so we were particularly selective in replacing them,” said Leapfrog CEO Leah Binder. “In Quantros we have a business partner that shares our passion for improving safety, quality, and efficiency of American hospitals, and brings an extraordinary team of experts to assure Leapfrog data is not only collected and reported competently, but used effectively to improve healthcare.”
Leapfrog first put out a request for proposals back in September. After a months-long search and review of highly qualified companies, Leapfrog selected Quantros based not only on their technical expertise and reputation for customer service, but also on the alignment of the organizations’ missions, visions for patient safety, and passion for change in the way health care is delivered. Quantros demonstrated the ability to not only administer the online survey for hospitals, but also take Leapfrog’s Survey Data out to new audiences and markets where it can be used to accelerate the adoption of best practices and inform hospital choice.
The transition of The Leapfrog Hospital Survey to Quantros begins immediately and will be finalized in September 2010. Over the next few months, Leapfrog will be communicating with its data partners, hospitals, and key constituents to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.
"Quantros and The Leapfrog Group both understand transparency is a key force behind safer, high-quality healthcare," said Sanjaya Kumar, MD, President and CEO of Quantros. "We are excited to support The Leapfrog Group with technical and clinical expertise as we work together to help healthcare providers and patients realize the benefits of transparency."
