Seaport Credit Union Supports 'Jamming For Julia' - Benefit Concert for Julia Gauthier Scholarship Fund
On Friday, May 7th, the "Jamming For Julia" benefit concert will take place from 6pm to 11pm at the Salem State College, South Campus gym. All proceeds go the Julia Gauthier Scholarship Fund established by Seaport Credit Union in Salem, MA. A great time is guaranteed for all. Food, raffles, music and much more. Salem, MA, April 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- "Jamming For Julia." A benefit concert for the "Julia Gauthier Scholarship Fund."
On Friday, May 7th, the 'Jamming For Julia' benefit concert will take place from 6pm to 11pm at Salem State College, (South Campus gym). Tickets are only $5.00 per person (ages 10 & under are free). All proceeds go the Julia Gauthier Scholarship Fund established by Seaport Credit Union in Salem, MA. Julia Gauthier, 19, of Salem, died tragically in March. She was a graduate of Salem High School in 2009 and a freshman at Salem State College. Julia excelled in both the classroom and on the athletic field. She finished 10th in her high school graduating class and was a star athlete in Lacrosse & Field Hockey.
The benefit concert is the idea of Marissa Condon. Marissa, a junior at Salem State College and a Salem High School graduate. “Working with Seaport Credit Union and Julia's family to raise scholarship money in her memory is something I am very proud. We hope to have a sell-out crowd of 500 people attend the benefit concert".
Patricia A. Warren, President/CEO of Seaport Credit Union has known the Gauthier family for many years. "Being part of the local community is the standard tenet of credit unions. We look forward to the community coming together to celebrate Julia's life."
The scholarship fund will assist deserving high school graduating seniors attend Salem State College.”
