Parentainment.com Relaunches with New Look and Exclusive Content for Parents and Child Care Providers

Valley Village, CA, April 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Parentainment.com, a unique social networking site exclusively for parents and child care providers, recently re-launched with a new look and a number of added features that set it apart from other parenting Web sites. The site allows moms and dads to connect with other parents, social groups and child care providers, and supplies them with the tools they need to be the best parents they can be, while enabling them to enrich their own lives.

Membership to Parentainment.com is free and is open to parents and child care providers 18 years or older. Moms and dads can build their own profile with details about themselves and their children, and connect with other members in their area or across the country. Members can also stay in touch through their Social Circle, a tool similar to friends lists on other social networking sites which allows members to send messages to each other. Members can also participate in social groups they are interested in, and can even create their own groups. Social groups can range anywhere from poker playing dads to parents of children with ADD and single parents looking for support.

Parentainment.com also serves as an informational tool for parents, providing them with a detailed guide of family-friendly activities happening in their city. In addition, the site includes up-to-the-minute parenting news from around the world, and access to blogs and informational articles. Topics covered include child care, education, entertaining, health, holidays, life, parenting, relationships and sex, and vacation and travel.

The site is also advantageous to child care providers like babysitters and nannies, who are able to build their own profiles, find child care jobs and connect with parents in their area. Parents can find child care providers in their area for free, and also have the ability to rate babysitters and nannies and recommend them to other parents.

“I am so excited to announce the re-launch of Parentainment.com, as it offers parents and child care providers something different than any other parenting Web site,” said Amy Blakeslee, CEO and Founder of Parentainment.com. “As a single mother, I know how important it is for parents to have their own lives while raising children. I wanted to create an interactive and informational website that would provide moms and dads with everything they need to not only be the best parents – but the best people – they can be.”

In addition, Parentainment.com believes in giving back to the community, and will donate a percentage of its profits to family-based charities each month. Soon members will be able to get involved by voting each month on the charity they think deserves the donation, and the charity with the most votes will receive that month’s donation.

About Parentainment.com
Parentainment.com is the brainchild of Amy Blakeslee, an 18-year veteran of the IT industry and a working mother with two young daughters. While she loves spending time with her children, she also enjoys her own activities like running, bike riding at the beach, entertaining, travel and music. Amy realized how important it is for her – and all parents – to still have their own lives while raising children, and wanted to create an interactive Web site that would foster this idea. Parentainment.com is the answer to this; a one-stop-shop for parents to connect with other parents, gather information to help them overcome the challenges of parenthood, and learn how to have fun while being the best parents they can be.
