Al Dickens Release Inspirational Title Under Wahida Clark Presents Publishing
Uncle Yah Yah Serves to Inspire and Motivate the Next Generation
East Orange, NJ, April 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In jail for 50 years, Al Dickens has finally been able to release his inspirational title Uncle Yah Yah: 21st Century Man of Wisdom (ISBN#978-0-9759646-9-2). Released under Wahida Clark Presents Publishing (WCP), Uncle Yah Yah is the first title published under WCP Imprint Yah Yah Publications.
It was May of 1960 when 22 year-old Al Dickens was convicted of 18 state and federal bank robberies and began serving a 76 year sentence. His conviction and a psychiatric evaluation led prison records to classify Al as a dangerous, sociopathic schizophrenic and borderline mental retard with an IQ of 72. Despite his unfortunate circumstances Al kept his head above water and in his last attempt to maintain sanity amidst others who had long lost theirs; Al made use of his time by setting forth to spread his knowledge and experiences with the world.
Throughout the course of his prison sentence, Al Dickens has done time in maximum and minimum security penitentiaries all over the United States, providing him with ample time and insight to create the inspiring book Uncle Yah Yah: 21st Century Man of Wisdom. With several years of notes on readings that were meaningful to him, Al Dickens compiled his notes and created the fictional character “Uncle Yah Yah” as a venue through which to communicate his insight with the next generation.
As a result of restrictions on conducting a business from his prison cell, Al was unable to market his book until now. This marks the first time his book has been available and is currently on sale in all of the major bookstores. Uncle Yah Yah: 21st Century Man of Wisdom brings awareness of the greatest good, the greatest power and the greatest victory. The inspiring realities presented in his novel suggest that if Al Dickens is crazy, perhaps we should all drink a cup of his madness.
