Crichton College Hires Scott Robinson as Athletic Director

Memphis, TN, April 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Scott Robinson has been appointed as Athletic Director/Head Basketball Coach for Crichton College. He comes to Crichton from the University of Memphis Men’s Basketball program and is a former Crichton student athlete.

“Over the last year, students, faculty, and staff have expressed the desire to continue our Athletic program,” stated President John M. Borek, Jr. “Scott’s experience and networks will be a great asset to the Crichton program.”

Borek continued, “I believe his knowledge of our institution and his Christian heart are exactly what we need at this point in time. He is committed to serving our Memphis community.”

Robinson is Founder of Dream 2 Discover You, a nonprofit developed to raise awareness and funds in research for Multiple Sclerosis, as well as life skills to underprivileged youth. He will complete his Masters of Science in Education with a concentration in Sports Commerce in May 2010.

Scott will apply for admission with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Conference and begin recruiting student athletes for Men’s Basketball for fall 2010. Additionally, he will develop proposals for other men and women’s athletic sports for Crichton.
