Help for Anger Available for Professionals in Atlanta

AidevO People Consulting will begin a new Anger Management Class for Professionals in Atlanta on Thursday, May 6th. This Program is specially developed for highly motivated and high achieving Professionals of all kinds who are having struggles with their anger not only at work but also in their relationship, with their children, their family members, their friends and with others in the community.

Atlanta, GA, April 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- It's a fact that many professionals today have the pressure of maintaining their previous performance with additional responsibilities due to downsizing and limited resources. What was once considered the normal stresses of a job which was more like a small annoying leak from the kitchen sink has now flooded the kitchen.

The economy has significantly impacted the anger that many professionals are experiencing at work with downsizing increasing the workload. Employers have often rewarded their high achieving staff members with additional responsibilities of those who have been let go. Many have been accommodating the demands of their employers request because they wanted to maintain their own positions. The successful professional could very well become the disgruntled employee.

According to Neca C. Smith, "the success that many professionals have achieved is in jeopardy when anger becomes a liability instead of a motivation for change, growth and insight." Individuals may now be at the point where they realize that something has got to give because they may be starting to see the effects of feelings of resentment and or anger. Things may be starting to come undone at work, at home with family or both. When these feelings are left unaddressed they can wreak havoc on careers and personal relationships.

Smith, a Licensed Professioal Counselor, a Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS) and a Certified Professional in Managing Workplace Conflict, has created a 10-session, interactive program that will help participants make smarter decisions in their anger. Participants will learn how to be angry in the right way, with the right person, for the right reason, at the right time and in the right way. According to Smith, the elimination of anger is not the key to handling it, but the importance lies in learning how to be angry intelligently.
