He is a vice president of the New Mexico State Poetry Society and a member of SouthWest Writers. Besides poetry, he writes history, theology, and short story. He is a ordained United Methodist Minister, a Chataugua actor, and a researcher of historic trails. He has two grown children, Casidy and Carisa and lives with his wife Rosa in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
