The challenge for Sun Life Financial was the disconnection between the company’s Siebel CRM system and Microsoft Outlook. Customer activities scheduled in Siebel calendars were not automatically synchronized with the sales reps’ Outlook calendars. As a result, Sun Life’s sales reps had to manually copy appointments back and forth between the two applications, which was time consuming and prone to errors.
