CinLor Tech Has Been Involved in the Development of a Computerized Navigation System

Houston, TX, November 26, 2006 --(PR.com)-- CinLor Tech has been involved in the development of a computerized navigation system for the pleasure and commercial boating industry.  This unit is called the “SeaPC luna”, an all-in-one PC that’s been marinized, its touch screen compatible and can be mounted in the cockpit or on the fly bridge.  The “luna” comes in a 15” LCD display that’s sunlight readable in a very rugged sealed casing.  The waterproof rating is IP 66.

What makes the SeaPC luna different from the other navigation systems?

Portability – We’ve developed a custom stainless steel mounting solution, so the luna can be moved from the navigation station, to below deck, or taken home. It could also be mounted with a ‘swing arm’ mount.

Versatility -  The luna runs on a Windows XP Pro operating system, a mouse and keyboard are not required, but can be connected wirelessly.  Any software programs can be loaded on the luna.   It does come preloaded with navigation software called “SeaPC Navigator” (Transas).  It is also Bluetooth compatible, connecting wireless instruments and devices is very convenient and easy.  Connecting to the Internet and Email are made possible through the built-in WiFi and Bluetooth dongle.  A satellite phone/TV can easily be used for off shore connections/communications.

Non-Proprietary  -  The luna can be connected to any NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 instrumentation on the yacht.  It doesn’t matter what ‘Brand’ of equipment is used.  Making your navigation systems on your yacht or commercial fishing boat redundant, makes for a safer and more enjoyable cruise.

Entertainment  -  The luna can be used for watching DVDs/TV or playing games while below deck, in the salon or stateroom.
