Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Tabs My Sports Dreams as Fundraising Partner
My Sports Dreams to help conference teams meet their financial challenges in tough economic environment
Bedford Hills, NY, April 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference announced today that it has named My Sports Dreams as an official fundraising partner. Specializing in working with college and scholastic athletic programs nationwide, My Sports Dreams will provide Jayhawk member teams with the ability to raise significant sums of money for operating expenses without requiring student-athletes to sell products.
Organized in 1923, the Jayhawk Conference is one of the NJCAA’s most prolific. Its 19 member institutions have won more than 100 National Championships in 12 different sports, and hundreds of former Jayhawk athletes have gone pro in their respective sports.
“The KJCCC is the home of some of the best competition at the junior college level, but like most small schools, our members have been hit hard by the state of the economy,” said KJCCC Commissioner Bryce Roderick. “We feel that My Sports Dreams will help our programs continue to run at a high level and make our conference one of the best in the nation.”
My Sports Dreams is already familiar to many athletic programs in the Jayhawk State. Both the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association and the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches endorse the company and its “product-less” approach to raising money.
"Community college athletics may not have the ‘big-time’ rep of their NCAA counterparts, but those programs are just as vital to the development of student-athletes,” said Tom Hess, Vice President of Sales at My Sports Dreams. “We’re looking forward to helping the teams of the KJCCC and the outstanding young men and women attending these institutions.”
