RedVector & Care2Learn Staff and Habitat for Humanity Build Together for 4th Consecutive Year
RedVector, the leader in online continuing education for the design and construction fields, and its subsidiary Care2Learn, the top provider of online CE for the post-acute healthcare sector, focused their efforts outside and offline on Thursday, April 15 to help a deserving family achieve home ownership through a Habitat for Humanity Corporate Day.
Tampa, FL, April 29, 2010 --(PR.com)-- As part of an ongoing partnership, RedVector and sister company Care2Learn devote a day to building a new home in the community with Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough.
More than 40 RedVector and Care2Learn staffers donated all or part of their day to working onsite building the Negron family home, while the rest of the team did double-duty to cover the RedVector and Care2Learn offices.
Habitat for Humanity Construction Director Sarah Arnold got the day in gear bright and early on a beautiful Thursday by allocating the various tasks. Under her supervision, RedVector and Care2Learn staff members tackled measuring, hammering, landscaping, and painting, among other building chores. Everyone was thankful for the perfect weather and spirit of camaraderie.
“We are grateful to RedVector and Care2Learn for their tremendous support and for making an impact on our community,” said Ralph Jackson, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County. “It was a great day of building that underscores how much a business can accomplish when it showcases its human side.”
RedVector and Care2Learn CEO Tom Wallace echoed the positive sentiment.
“Partnering with an organization like Habitat for Humanity to give something immediate and tangible back to the community is one of the most rewarding aspects of running a business,” said Tom. “Our focus is on using technology to make life more convenient and enhance productivity – and this is a great example of the way that translates into time we can devote to important causes that foster positive change.”
Each year, RedVector and Care2Learn hold a “matching funds” holiday donation drive that raises money for Habitat for Humanity, and then follow up by volunteering their services at a local Habitat build.
