From Third World Borat to Third Screen Filmakers, Kit & Kaboodle Feeds Hungry Cast and Crew
Hollywood, CA, November 19, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Kit and Kaboodle (www.knkcraftservices.com) has been providing refreshments for an eclectic group of production clients. First up was an assignment to provide equipment, food and beverages for a Borat promo (the fictional Kazakh journalist invented and portrayed by the British Sacha Baron Cohen for Da Ali G Show). Then Kit & Kaboodle moved from the third world character to the third screen with their participation in Hollywood's first wireless film festival.
The inaugural Third Screen Film Festival was presented by Columbia College Chicago and its premiere Semester in L.A. program, in partnership with Nano, America's first short film channel available wirelessly on MobiTV service. Kit & Kaboodle was part of the Indy Production Prize giveaway awarded to the winner of the Mobile Award, presented to the film that received the most votes via text messaging. Filmmaker Tim Saccardo of Hollywood, California won this division for his "Slideshow" entry.
The Third Screen Film Festival (TSFF) took place on October 26, 2006 at the Museum of Television & Radio in Beverly Hills, California and showcased films for the 'third screen', which includes mobile phones as well as WiFi and broadband-enabled hand-held devices. It was open to student filmmakers, amateurs and professionals.
"We're a fairly new company so I'm always amazed at the interesting diversity of our production clients," said Sue Berry, Partner and Director of Client Services at Kit and Kaboodle. "Of course we love the star-studded projects, but it is gratifying to support emerging and student filmmakers and the reason the Third Screen Film Festival giveaway appealed to us."
Kit & Kaboodle will be providing equipment and refreshments to filmmaker Saccardo, who received an Indy Production Package provided by The Hollywood Cheat Sheet (www.HollywoodCheatSheet.com).
Kit and Kaboodle provides turn-key craft service cargo vans and equipment (the KIT) and snack food deliveries (the KABOODLE) to companies producing features, television, music videos, commercials and live events. It became the first of its kind in the industry by providing kaboodle (snack food) delivery along with equipment rentals. Producers have the option of renting the KIT only, ordering daily KABOODLE deliveries, or ordering the whole Kit and Kaboodle.
The Kit comes with a cargo van plus all the equipment necessary to set up craft services including tables, coolers, industrial coffee makers, basket, bowls, etc. The Kaboodle deliveries range in price and include all the refreshments necessary to feed a hungry cast and crew - delivered daily to the production location or stage.
