The Current Show at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library is a Local Resident of Plainview, Lisa Petker-Mintz

Plainview, NY, November 20, 2006 --(PR.com)-- The current show at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library is a local resident of Plainview, Lisa Petker-Mintz.

As a painter, Petker-Mintz’s work displays strength of content, conviction and quality evident throughout the entirety of the work.

As a graduate of both SUNY Buffalo and the Parson School of Design, Mrs. Petker-Mintz is a well taught artist who has exhibited in the New York City and Long Island art scenes for the past twenty years. The centerpieces of the exhibition are her floral collages. Architectural and abstract, their loose execution and masterful composition make them the stars of the show. Her large dominating florals explode with color and vivacity. The exhibition also contains her highly intricate linear graphite studies.

The exhibition will run through December 28, 2006. The gallery is located in Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library, 999 Old Country Road, Plainview, New York 11803. The library is easily accessible from all major metropolitan area highways, has ample parking, and is handicapped accessible. For further information call the library at 516 938-0077.
