Crichton College to Hold Commencement Ceremony on May 7, 2010

Memphis, TN, May 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Crichton College will conduct its 61st Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 7 at 6:00pm at First Assembly of God Church in Cordova, Tennessee. More than ninety students will receive their Bachelors degree or baccalaureate certification at the ceremony.

“Graduation is a solemn but exciting time in the lives of our students and their families,” stated Dr. John Borek, President of Crichton College. “This event marks the culmination of years of study and sacrifice, as well as a launching point for career growth. We are proud of our graduates and their achievements.”

The Honorable A C Wharton, Jr. will be the guest speaker at the Commencement Ceremony. Mayor Wharton was elected Mayor of Memphis in October 2009 and served as Mayor of Shelby County from 2002 until 2006.

“Mayor Wharton’s leadership has provided a renewed sense of optimism and excitement for the citizens of Memphis and the surrounding community,” said Dr. Borek, “We are honored that Mayor Wharton accepted the invitation to speak at Crichton’s Commencement Ceremony.”

The Commencement Ceremony is open to the public.
