Glow Networks Wins Prestigious Dallas 100 Award
Company ranks 40th in a select list of the 100 fastest growing companies in Dallas.
Richardson, TX, November 21, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Glow Networks, Inc. (www.glownetworks.com), a research, consultancy and engineering firm providing end-to-end network services and solutions for the telecom market, has won the prestigious Dallas 100 award, in recognition of its phenomenal growth during the 2003-2005 timeframe. The network services provider was ranked 40th amongst thousands of companies in Dallas that qualified for this honor.
Co-founded in 1990 by the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at the SMU Cox School of Business, the Dallas 100 Awards is an annual event that identifies and honors the 100 fastest-growing privately held companies in the Dallas area. The stringent qualification criteria for the award include the legal status, location, sales history, credit report and character of a company, while the winners are chosen on the basis of increased growth in sales, giving weight to percentage of growth as well as absolute dollar growth between 2003 and 2005. The Dallas 100 award is widely recognized as a tribute to the innovative spirit, determination and business savvy of entrepreneurs in the area.
“We feel extremely honored to be amongst a select group of winners of this prestigious award. Being a Dallas 100 winner is another testimony to the rapid strides we have taken in the past few years,” said Dr. Jay Srinivasan, Founder and President of Glow Networks. “Our business performance thus far and the numerous accolades that we have received during this year certainly make this a momentous year in our young history. I’d like to thank our various stakeholders- our customers, employees and investors- for making this possible. At the same time, I want to reiterate the company’s commitment to help our clients save and make money with more efficient use of network technologies.”
Glow Networks has enjoyed an impressive growth of over 300 percent in the past three years and is set to record a robust growth this year as well. The company has been rapidly expanding its customer base while deepening its engagement with existing clientele that include telecom industry leaders such as Motorola, Nortel and Alcatel. In August 2006, Glow Networks acquired the assets of Tri-MC Enterprises to add telecommunications Engineer, Furnish & Install services to its portfolio and thus provide a full range of power and grounding services to the telecommunications industry. Recently, the company also found a place in Deloitte's 2006 Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in North America.
“The Dallas 100 award is not merely a reflection of our excellent revenue growth over a period of three years but also of other attributes of corporate governance as evaluated by the awards committee, which makes it a very special honor,” said Dev Sridharan, CFO. “It is heartening to see the success of the customer-centric, results-driven approach that we have steadfastly followed and is now an integral part of our organization’s culture.”
