Sticky Fingers Bakeries Unveils New Products and New Look for Its Premium Line of Curds, Jams, Jellies and Fruit Butters
Spokane, WA, May 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Specialty baking company Sticky Fingers Bakeries has revamped its line of premium curds, jams, jellies and fruit butters, adding eight new varieties and unveiling a fresh new packaging design.
The specialty baker, known for its quick and easy premium scone and bread mixes, now has 12 varieties in its Jams/Jellies/Curds/Fruit Butters line. Products are made in small batches with all natural ingredients, including fresh (not frozen) eggs, Wild Maine blueberries, Northwest red raspberries and blackberries, and Washington apples, among other premium ingredients. There are no artificial flavors and no corn syrup.
The product line includes:
Curds: Lemon Curd, Orange Curd, Cranberry-Orange Curd
Jams: Wild Raspberry, Wild Blueberry, Marion Blackberry, Chipotle Red Raspberry
Jellies: Tomatillo Pepper Jelly with Fire Roasted Jalapenos, Red Pepper Jelly
Fruit Butters: Cranberry Apple Fruit Butter, Pear Fruit Butter, Pumpkin Spice Fruit Butter
“We talked to retailers and heard from customers what products they loved and what they wanted to see more of,” said Tom Owens, company co-founder. “Overwhelmingly people told us to stay with our all-natural, small-batch focus, and to mix things up a little. We think we hit the mark.”
Of note are the tomatillo pepper jelly and chipotle raspberry jam, both with a decided kick that puts them at home as a marinade base, on Mexican foods, and paired with cheese.
“The new flavors were a blast to develop,” Owens added. “When you’re in the business of creating natural foods that taste amazing, it’s easy to come to work every day.”
Sticky Fingers Bakeries, dba SFB Specialty Foods, was founded by fraternity brothers Tom Owens and Ted Vogelman in San Diego in 1987, initially as a thriving retail bakery. The two then worked to develop a scone mix that would enable customers to recreate the bakery’s popular scones at home by just adding water. Today the company’s products include its popular all natural scone mixes in 18 flavors (the largest selection of English scone mixes sold worldwide), muffin mixes, an Irish soda bread mix and several brownie mixes. Mixes contain no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, trans-fats or saturated fats.
