Acclaimed Parapsychologists to Accept Key Roles at Atlantic University
Atlantic University (AU) has made two key appointments: Nancy Zingrone, PhD, as Academic Affairs Director, and Carlos Alvarado, PhD, as Scholar in Residence.
Virginia Beach, VA, May 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Executive Director and CEO of the Edgar Cayce work, Kevin J. Todeschi, announced today that, due to the generosity of Don de Laski and the de Laski Family Foundation, Atlantic University (AU) has made two key appointments to the university: Nancy Zingrone, PhD, and Carlos Alvarado, PhD. The husband and wife team have extensive backgrounds in parapsychology, transpersonal psychology, psychiatric research, perceptual studies, and published research papers.
Nancy Zingrone has been appointed Academic Affairs Director for the university and will be responsible for curriculum development, online education, the continuing education program, and faculty and staff oversight. Carlos Alvarado has been appointed Scholar in Residence and will be responsible for academic research, grant proposals, and online outreach into Latin America. The couple will also pursue the creation of an online master’s degree in parapsychology for the university.
Both Zingrone and Alvarado have PhDs in psychology from the University of Edinburgh, and both have extensive research and teaching experience with the University of Virginia, the Foundation for Research on the Nature of Man (now Rhine Research Center), and the Parapsychological Foundation. In addition to their new roles at Atlantic University both Zingrone and Alvarado will join the university’s faculty, focusing on online education.
