Jay Lonewolf at GAB Studio, May 8, 2010, Wynwood Art Walk, Miami, FL
Miami, FL, May 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lonewolf’s latest exhibition May 8, 2010 at GAB Studio will include work from his Pow Wow with the Prophet series. Additional work featured includes several in his self-portrait collection, Jerusalem, Excavation of Yellow and Eyes in the Abyss. The former is his commentary on the environment and politics. “My views, my thoughts on politics, spirituality and philosophy – it’s all there in my work. Anyone can see what they can see. Perhaps it’s the catalyst to spark a discussion … I’m happy if that’s what they can take away from my art” says Lonewolf.
A gifted artist, Lonewolf suffers from rod monochromacy. He does not see color. Movement is his color and darkness is his light. His vision is limited to variations of black and white, gradients or contrasts of gray similar to the old black and white TV sets from years ago. Jay Lonewolf has been featured in the Miami Herald, WTVJ-NBC 6 Miami, Telemundo, Univision, Miami Artzine and lifeinthefastlane.ca.
The GAB Studio group show includes seventeen talented artists. The Saturday, May 8 event will also feature percussive and acoustic performances by Angelo Vincent, Jason “Quatro Manos” Ortiz, Alma Martinez Amores, Elich “Keko” Garcia, Michael Gil and Eduardo Valladares. Lonewolf has dedicated his exhibition in memory of the late urban contemporary artist Purvis Young. More info is available at www.jaylonewolf.com.
