Orlando Delbert Designs Special Effects for Director Lucia Grillo’s Film “Ad Ipponion,” Entry Into Festival de Cannes, Short Film Corner
Orlando Delbert, Founder and Creative Director for Delbert Entertainment, LLC today announced, Director Lucia Grillo’s film, “Ad Ipponion,” as an entry in the Festival de Cannes, Short Film Corner.
Los Angeles, CA, May 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- “I remember receiving a call from Film Director Lucia Grillo, asking me if I would be able to create effects for her film, 'Ad Ipponion,' ” said Orlando Delbert. “Lucia is one of those individuals, whose visions are always very impact-full. I always think of her film, 'A Pena Do Pana (The Coast of Bread),' which to me has so many subtle emotions in its fabric. I am honored to be part of her story telling. What a pleasant surprise when I received a simple little email saying, “There might be more than one name you recognize…” followed with a link to the Festival De Cannes, Short Film Corner webpage for the film. What a good way to start a day!”

“Working remotely had its challenges,” said Orlando. “I was supplied footage, which normally would have involved tracking. Because of the feeling of the story, I decided to do it “by eye.” I thought in this case, the desired effect should have been of a more organic and free-flowing feeling. It involved creating a light element in special effects software, and giving it life. I felt it should be a character in itself.”
The Short Film Corner is organized by the Festival de Cannes. It is a dedicated place for filmmakers to present their films at the Festival de Cannes. It provides a forum, for industry professionals to view the films in one place.
