E-Waste Recycling Event at the Playa Vista Farmers Market on 5/22

Manhattan Beach, CA, May 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Bring your old electronics to the Playa Vista Farmers Market on Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 9AM to 2PM and recycle most of them for free.

E-waste refers to any electronic items that have outlived their useful lives. Disposing of e-waste improperly is extremely hazardous to the environment and the health of people who process waste.

1 Earth Recycle works only with refineries that process materials sustainably and within the US. Because it is more expensive to recycle electronics in a sustainable manner, recycling of some items carries a small fee.

Items that will be recycled for free: computer monitors, television sets, laptops, desktop computers, computer mouses, inkjet printer cartridges, cell phones and cell phone accessories.
