Garment Center Online is Growing

Garment Center Online is the only member controlled online directory of the businesses in the Garment District of New York. The directory has recently included a blog where the company information is published and a forum where garmentos can communicate with each other.

New York, NY, May 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The only member controlled online directory of businesses in the New York Garment District is continuously growing. Recently a blog where apparel companies in New York are featured has been added, along with a forum which will enable garmentos to communicate with each other.

This directory is available at www.garmentcenteronline.com and contains listings broken down under various categories and sub-categories. Membership and basic listing is free and paid upgrades are available.

The directory is easy to navigate and also includes a Classifieds section where companies can post about their job openings, liquidation offers, sample sale announcements and equipment sales and searches. Real estate agents are posting available leases in the area. Fashion school students and alumni are posting their resumes.

This directory is aiming to facilitate communication between companies within the district and enable them to outsource to each other as well as cooperate in projects. Boutiques throughout the country will also easily communicate with wholesalers and buy liquidation sales.

About Garment Center Online
Garment Center Online was the brainchild of Janine Rosenblum, the wife of a Garment Center veteran Larry Rosenblum who has worked in the fashion industry for the past 27 years.

After discussing how there was no central location to access the different companies of the Garment Center and what they represent from a product standpoint, www.garmentcenteronline.com was created. The site offers member controlled listings for free so if there is an address or number change the listing can be updated immediately. This is in contrast to the building directories or other book directories that are expensive and outdated before they are printed.
