Williamsburg Wine and Food Festival Tickets on Sale

Virginia Shines with Its Wines.

Williamsburg, FL, May 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Tickets are on sale now for the first annual Williamsburg Wine And Food Festival to be held at Lennar’s Colonial Heritage community, 6500 Arthur Hills Drive, in Williamsburg on Saturday, May 22 from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Festival-goers can purchase tasting tickets that will allow them to sample wines from each of the vineyards and wineries. Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.WilliamsburgWineAndFoodFestival.com.

Tickets purchased in advance are $25 or $40 for two days while admission at the gate is $30 or $50 for two days.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Colonial Heritage Community Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports family caregivers, promotes active aging and strengthens the community through the enrichment of quality of life for all residents of Colonial Heritage and the greater Williamsburg area.

This year's event will feature 32 Virginia wineries. They are AmRhein Wine Cellars, Athena Vineyards &Winery, Barren Ridge Vineyards, Chateau Morrisette Winery, Delfosse Vinyards & Winery, Davis Valley Winery, First Colony Winery, Gabriele Rausse Winery, GrayHaven Winery, Horton Vineyards, Holly Grove Vineyards, James River Cellars Winery, Keswick Vineyards, Lake Anna Winery, LeoGrande Vineyards and Winery, Loudoun Valley Vineyards, Mattaponi Winery, Montdomaine, Mountfair Winery, Oakcrest Winery, North Mountain Vineyards, Peaks of Otter Winery & Orchards, Piedmont Vineyards, Potomac Point Vineyard & Winery, Rebec Vineyards, Rosemont of Virginia, Saude Creek, Tomahawk Mill Winery, Vino Curioso, Vinter’s Cellars of Yorktown, Virginia Mountain Vineyards and The Williamsburg Winery.

Along with showcasing Virginia’s vibrant wine industry, The Williamsburg Wine And Food Festival is bringing “Star Power” to its inaugural event including five-time Grammy and Academy Award winning recording artist, Christopher Cross and Kevin Zraly, one of the foremost wine educators in the world.

Best know for his hit songs, Sailing, Ride Like The Wind, Arthur’s Theme and Think of Laura, Christopher Cross is one of two solo artists to win all “Big Four” Grammy Awards for Record, Song, Album and New Artist in the same year. Cross will host a special concert at the Festival on Saturday, May 22 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Concert tickets, sold separately, are $15.

Kevin Zraly, founder and teacher of Windows On The World Wine School is also a best-selling author. His book, Windows On The World Complete Wine Course has sold more than three million copies. Zraly will share his knowledge with Festival guests on Saturday, May 22 during his signature wine appreciation seminar.

Local artists including Christopher Mize and Dorothy Fegan will display and sell their arts and crafts during this year’s festival. Merchandise will include jewelry, wine apparel, gourmet food and more.

Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase the event’s theme poster designed by world-renowned artist, Romero Britto.
