Brooke Laffan Promoted to Associate Publisher at Bridal Guide
New York, NY, May 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Bridal Guide announced that Brooke Laffan has been promoted to the position of Associate Publisher.
Laffan joined Bridal Guide in January 2009 in the position of Executive Travel Director. Since then, she has brought more than 25 new clients into the bridal publication and its companion website, bridalguide.com, an effort that has produced a 40% increase in travel advertising sales revenue.
“Brooke has been absolutely key in helping Bridal Guide stay competitive in this tough climate,” said Publisher Jeff Hendlin. “At a time when other magazines, including bridal publications, are shutting their doors, Brooke has proven the vitality of the wedding and honeymoon travel market again and again. Her enthusiastic belief in this market, and in Bridal Guide’s unique capacity to reach it, has clearly been evident to all of our existing and new clients.”
Laffan joined Bridal Guide with years of experience in advertising sales for the travel category, specializing in the creation of tactical marketing partnerships. Her career in travel advertising began at American Express Publishing with the launch of Departures, the magazine created exclusively for Platinum Card members. Her expertise and success in the travel category enabled Laffan to rise to Advertising Director, where she oversaw sales initiatives for Centurion (for American Express Black Card members) as well as for the international editions of Departures. Most recently, Laffan was the Associate Publisher of Endless Vacation and Lexus magazines, both published by Story Worldwide.
Originally from New York, Laffan traveled the world as a child with her mother and father, a freelance journalist, and has loved to travel ever since. She currently lives in Rye Brook, New York, with her husband and two daughters and is based in Bridal Guide’s New York City office.
