Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association (CT REIA) Announces May 2010 Monthly Meeting with Short Sale Expert Patrick Precourt

On Monday, May 17, the Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association, or CT REIA, will be hosting its monthly meeting with short sale expert Patrick Precourt. Attendees will learn how to be competitive in the real estate short sale market.

Cromwell, CT, May 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association, or CT REIA, in association with Patrick Precourt, is announcing the CT REIA May 2010 monthly Connecticut real estate investors meeting. This event will take place on Monday, May 17th, from 5:30pm to 9:00pm, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on 100 Berlin Road in Cromwell, CT. This event is free for CT REIA members, and $30 for non-members.

Patrick Precourt, the guest speaker, is a successful real estate investor and pre-foreclosure expert. In the beginning of 2000, Patrick opened North Shore Enterprises, a professional real estate investment company. Since then his team has completed nearly 700 real estate short sales. Patrick runs a mentorship program with enrollment of over 500 students across the country. He is also a contributing author to the best selling series “Wake up... live the life you love: The power of team.” Patrick is known in the real estate industry as a short sale guru.

In 2009, the Treasury Department introduced the HAFA program to provide a viable option for homeowners who are unable to keep their homes through the existing Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP). Attendees of this meeting will learn the following; what properties or loans qualify for the HAFA program, which lenders must participate in the HAFA program, the direct effect HAFA will have on the real estate industry, the indirect effect HAFA will have on the real estate industry, how directing clients to sign the HAFA short sale paperwork may harm them, the 3 must know requirements of the HAFA program for short sale investing, how to leverage the new guidelines to cut the short sale time line, which properties cannot be sold after a successful short sale transaction, and much more.
