Deepwater Horizon Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill Subject of May 10 Shift Worldwide vPanel™ Discussion

Shift Worldwide will broadcast a live, interactive, virtual panel discussion Monday, May 10, 2010, to discuss the aftermath of BP's Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Their four-member panel will analyze the response to the oil spill, and how companies can plan to respond to their own crisis situations.

Chicago, IL, May 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- A crisis for a company can occur at any moment. But smart companies have a crisis plan already in place – so they can respond rather than react when an emergency arises.

“We’ve all read how BP and government agencies have come under scrutiny for how they have reacted in the days since the Deepwater Horizon oil rig spill on April 20,” said Shift Worldwide’s Jennifer Johnson. “While you don’t know when something like that will occur, companies can better handle the response if they have a plan.”

Johnson is moderating a live, interactive virtual panel discussion Monday, May 10. A four-member panel will analyze the response to the Gulf of Mexico oil spill and how companies can plan to handle crisis situations.

The panelists include:
> Aileo Weinmann, Associate Communications Director, National Advocacy Center – National Wildlife Federation, Washington D.C.
> B.J. Fischer, Director of Strategic Services – FLS Marketing, Toledo, OH
> Keith B. Hall, Attorney – Stone Pigman, New Orleans, LA
> Dr. Joe Trahan, APR, Fellow PRSA, Owner – Trahan & Associates, Atlanta, GA
The live, hour-long vPanel™ discussion will be Monday, May 10, starting at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT. The cost is $50 and Shift Worldwide is donating 20% of all proceeds from the event to the National Wildlife Federation and its efforts to help Gulf Coast wildlife affected by the oil spill.
