Call of Atlantis™ by Playrix® Wins a Prestigious Award
The match-3 puzzler from Playrix has been named Winner of the iParenting Media Award, the only certified product review and awards program in the industry
Vologda, Russia, May 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Call of Atlantis™, an acclaimed puzzler by Playrix® Entertainment, a casual games developer and publisher of such titles as Fishdom™, Royal Envoy™, Gardenscapes™, 4 Elements™, and others, has been recently announced the iParenting Media Award Winner. The iParenting Media Awards Program seeks to provide a credible and objective method of determining outstanding products in the marketplace and honors them with the consumer award.
Call of Atlantis™ was released in 2008 and since then was localized into 10 languages and made available at retail worldwide. It was nominated for the Great Game Awards (RealNetworks) 2008 as a Top Match-3 Game and honored with GDN Silver Award. It demonstrated impressive performance across the boards and was chosen by Playrix Entertainment to be the first game internally adapted for iPhone™ and iPod® Touch. Call of Atlantis for iPhone™ will be available on the App Store in May of 2010.
Call of Atlantis™, a combination of Match-3, Hidden Object and Adventure, takes players on a journey around the ancient lands of the Mediterranean to acquire seven mysterious crystals of power and thus restore the Altar of Poseidon and save the fabled sunken city of Atlantis.
“Call of Atlantis is the final part of the Atlantis trilogy created by Playrix,” said Igor Bukhman, Playrix’s President, Products. “This game has been enjoying great reviews and sales across all platforms and this is no surprise that we picked it to be the first internally developed game for iPhone™ and iPod® Touch in the Playrix’s portfolio. We are much honored to be the winner of the iParenting Media Award for Call of Atlantis™ and happy that our product is warmly received by both players and industry experts.”
