2nd Annual Rockfest Features Top Local Band Lineup

Hamilton, NJ, May 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, May 22, City of Angels NJ, Inc., (COA) will host its second annual Rockfest at Tall Cedars Grove, 245 Sawmill Road, Hamilton, New Jersey, 08620. The event will feature live music from eleven local bands including Red Sea Affair, Reckless, Jimmy & The Parrots, Honey Spot Boulevard, Street Corner Five, Garden State of Mind, Darkwater, Driven, A Clever Con and Cruel School Children. The groups represent a mixture of styles, from Jimmy Buffet-style Jimmy & the Parrots to heavy metal band Driven, ‘50’s acappella group Street Corner Five, country singer Sherry St. John and progressive fusion rock group Red Sea Affair. The bands will perform from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, rain or shine.

Rockfest will also include a car, truck and motorcycle show; food court; Magic Matt the Magician and other entertainers; children’s games and amusements; and contests for all ages. Admission for the full afternoon is just $15.00 per person or $10.00 for students, with no charge for children. (Please call ahead for information on handicap accommodations.)

The event will benefit COA, a non-profit organization based in Hamilton that helps families and young people recover from substance addiction. This disease affects over 600,000 people in New Jersey, more than 150,000 of whom are under the age of 25. Many more people are affected by the addiction of a family member or friend. Across the United States, substance abuse causes more than 15,000 deaths each year, and is believed to be indirectly involved in more than 50,000 deaths.

COA helps families find the resources to bridge the gap into treatment services, and provides after-care to support recovery. The organization has grown quickly over the past year and has been instrumental in helping more than one hundred-fifty young adults and their families.
