Radiometrix Introduces Latest Multi-Channel Transceiver at National Electronics Week
Stand A50, National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham 18th - 19th May 2010.
London, United Kingdom, May 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Radiometrix, the UK’s leading developer of license exempt wireless solutions, will again exhibit at National Electronics Week, showing its continued support of the British electronics design community. Visitors to this year’s event, held between the 18th and 19th May in Hall 1 of Birmingham’s NEC, will have the opportunity to learn more about the Radiometrix portfolio of wideband and narrowband low power radio modules.
The company will also use this event to unveil its new SHX1 narrowband transceiver. Powered by a +5 V regulated supply, this compact multi-channel operation VHF device has an output power of 500 mW, allowing it to cover a range of over 5 km. The transceiver is usable in any 3 MHz segment of the 140 MHz – 175 MHz frequency range, allowing it to be employed in wireless communication based on the 144 MHz amateur, 151 MHz United States’ Multi Use Radio Service (MURS), and European 169 MHz bands.
The standard module can offer data rates of up to 5 kbps, and supports 8 parallel or 255 serial channels. It conforms fully to both the ETSI EN 300 220-3 and EN 301 489-3 electromagnetic compatibility standards. As the SHX1 has separate N and R registers on each channel for transmit and receive functions, the frequency of each of these channels can be individually programmed in every mode. This transceiver is suitable for a wide variety of end applications, including amateur radio, MURS units, industrial/commercial telemetry systems, high-end security alarms, automatic packet reporting systems, vehicle data up/download, and remotely operated vehicle/machinery controls.
