NC Cookie Company Recognized for Supporting US Troops in Afghanistan
Anna's Gourmet Goodies was recognized for supporting US troops in Afghanistan and received a certificate along with a US flag that was flown at Bagram Airfield.
Raleigh, NC, May 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Anna’s Gourmet Goodies has been recognized by Service Members and Civilians of Combined Joint Task Force-82, Regional Command East and the 82nd Airborne Division for support of US Troops. LTC Jayson Altieri presented Anna’s with a flag that was flown over Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan along with a certificate of recognition for loyalty, devotion and sustained support of the War on Terror.
Anna’s Gourmet Goodies sent packages of cookies to the troops stationed in Afghanistan. Each package contained two cookies and had a custom label on the outside, printed with the unit’s logo.
“We had no idea that this would mean so much to the men and women serving our country. We were simply doing out job,” says owner Chris Duke. “To know that something we made by hand touched so many people is truly a great honor and I am humbled by their gratitude almost as much as I am humbled by their service.”
