Akadema to Sponsor Charity Tournament
Akadema is sponsoring a charity dodgeball tournament. Proceeds go towards the medical expenses incurred by New Jersey teen with aggressive liver disease.

Akadema has paired with the River Vale (NJ) Police Officers Association to sponsor a charity dodgeball tournament. The tournament will take place on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 12:00pm at Holdrum Middle School in River Vale, NJ. Proceeds from the event will benefit 16-year-old River Vale resident Caleigh Lans, who was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangits – a chronic and aggressive liver disease. On March 13, 2010, Caleigh received a liver transplant and is currently beginning her recovery. Estimated out-of-pocket expenses for Caleigh’s treatment are in excess of $85,000.
Teams of six to eight players (18 years of age and older) will compete against teams of local Police Officers and others for a chance to take home first prize. The minimum entry fee is $500 per team.
