Unusual Australia Wildlife Tour Sponsored by Denver Zoo
The Denver Zoo is offering an Australia Tour featuring visits to unique wildlife areas in the “Land Down Under.” The tour operates from November 2 to 13. Participation benefits the Denver Zoo, and is open to Members and Non-Members alike.
Orlando, FL, May 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Denver Zoo, in cooperation with Parker Travel, is sponsoring a special travel experience to Australia. The 12-Day / 9 Night tour program, titled “Australia Wildlife Journey,” visits Cairns, Port Douglas, Adelaide, Kangaroo Island and Sydney.
While Australia is well-known for its animal life, such as kangaroos, wallabies and koala bears, relatively few Americans visitors experience the wildlife in their natural habitat. Participants in this tour will visit Daintree Rainforest, believed to be the oldest existing rainforest in the world. In addition, an extended stay on Kangaroo Island allows participants to experience close-up encounters with fur seals, koalas, kangaroos, echidnas, reptiles, wildflowers, and some of the 250 species of birds found on the island. Visits to the Great Barrier Reef and Sydney are also included.
Departure from the U.S. is on November 2, with return home scheduled for November 13. The program features first-class hotels and private tour services throughout, and will be fully escorted throughout Australia. In addition, a staff member from the Denver Zoo will accompany the tour group.
Participation is open to the public, as well as members of the Zoo. By taking part in the journey, the Denver Zoo will benefit by receiving a portion of the profits from the tour operation.
Those interested in learning more about the tour can get details on the Denver Zoo website at: www.DenverZoo.org/involved/adventure, or they contact Parker Travel at: 800-743-7644.
