“Let me see.” He took the flashlight and leaned right onto the stones, his eyes inches from the jagged edge of the wall. “Yes... ep. There’s something in front of the e. Looks like... an S. S... ep... 11 and yeah... 177. Wait!! I think I can see it! It reads... Sept. 11, 1777!” His entire body shivered and his mouth hung open. “Yes! That’s the final clue. This is it!!!”

Jim and Natalie uncovered a secret that had been hidden for over two centuries, something that treasure hunters had sought for decades. They knew they’d have to bring it to light, but realized they could both die trying. The fragile infancy of the young nation – and a man responsible for its survival – lay in the clues. After being driven off the road, shot at and nearly killed, they were determined to follow through to the end.

About the author:

Gene Pisasale was born and raised in Wynnewood, PA on the Main Line outside Philadelphia. By the age of 30, he had visited most of the 50 states and several foreign countries, and these trips fueled his desire to write and to share the wonderful places through words and photographs. Gene has worked in the investment industry since 1986. His lifelong fascination with history -- mankind’s story about its many triumphs, tragedies, sorrows and accomplishments -- propelled him to start his writing career. Gene enjoys hiking, visiting historic sites and museums, cooking and fine wines. He lives in Kennett Square, PA.

“Vineyard Days”, Gene’s first novel, is a ‘hybrid’- a travelogue wrapped around a murder mystery describing the sights, sounds and tastes of Martha’s Vineyard. Written in September 2008 while he vacationed on the Vineyard during the height of the financial market collapse, “Vineyard Days” sets the scene for this latest novel. “Lafayette’s Gold – The Lost Brandywine Treasure” continues the adventure…
