Brown Recluse Books Re-Launches with Focus on Education and Wellness
Resources and tools for educators and helping professionals; wellness books and products; and children’s books and games are just a few of the items that the newly re-launched Brown Recluse Books plans to offer going forward.
Florissant, MO, May 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Of the move that departs from the niche publisher’s 2006 founding focus – genre fiction – Brown Recluse Books founder, Terra Little, says that the shift from commercial fiction to community awareness has been a long time coming.
“Right around the time I began pursuing studies in Secondary Education, I began to think critically about my publishing company and what I really want to accomplish with it,” Little explains. “More than anything, I want Brown Recluse Books to impact the community in positive ways and to offer products that enrich its clients’ lives.”
Little herself is a published author of contemporary fiction, which, she says, lends itself to the Brown Recluse Books creative process. However, it is her background in Education and Professional Counseling that provides the greatest inspiration. She has worked extensively with children, in both classrooms and in residential settings, and with disadvantaged adult populations, and she credits the invaluable experience that she acquired with fueling her desire to create timely and attractive products that people can use in their everyday lives.
“We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel,” she says. “Just carve out a place for Brown Recluse Books in such an important and vital aspect of the publishing industry. As we continue to expand our product line, our goal is to become a qualitative resource for the community and the people who live and work in it.”
With its re-launch, Brown Recluse Books has released the following titles in 2010:
* A Little Like Van Gogh: 26 Artistic Prompts to Inspire the Artist In You (ISBN: 0978572130, $12.95)
* Dear Jane…A Guided Journal for Today’s Woman (ISBN: 097857219X, $10.95)
More titles and products are currently in the developmental process and scheduled for release in late 2010 and early 2011. The Brown Recluse Books production team looks forward to developing relationships with educators, helping professionals, and families nationwide. Brown Recluse Books products are currently available for purchase online and via the Brown Recluse Books website.
