Florida RV Resort Coordinates Volunteer Program with Other Gulf Coast Resorts

Panama City Beach, FL, May 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Representatives of Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort announced today that they will be participating with Bella Terra of Gulf Shores in a nationwide outreach to the RV community to support cleanup efforts of the BP oil spill along the Gulf Coast.

Our nationwide RV community is in the unique position of being able to respond to calls for volunteers with little or no delay. By participating with Bella Terra Gulf Shores, Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort will be in the unique position of being able to direct those members of the RV community that are, or plan to be, in the Panama City Beach area to the areas most in need of volunteer help.

“People have been coming down to Panama City Beach since the 1920's. We want to help keep our beaches pristine for the generations to come.” said Lyle Hartka, owner of Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort. “I would hate to think that future Rver's wouldn't have our beautiful sugar-sand beaches to enjoy.”

While we have not seen the effects of the gulf oil spill on any of Panama City Beach's area shoreline, the future potential impact from the spill is currently unknown and having a group of RVer's ready to respond to a call for help can only enhance the ability to preserve our beaches and marine environment.

Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort will be offering discounts to RV volunteers arriving in the area who are assisting in any cleanup efforts. In addition, Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort will join with other Gulf Coast RV Resorts and Campgrounds in assisting volunteers in finding the areas most in need of help.
