GWP Announces Worst Case Scenario Cover Contest
Moodus, CT, May 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- GWP announces new Worst Case Scenario Cover Contest.
Partners Keith J. Murphey and Hector E. Rodriguez announced today that they are now taking entries for their first cover contest for their new zombie horror anthology “Worst Case Scenarios: Outbreak.”
Worst Case Scenario is an anthology book surrounded by how real people are affected by a sudden zombie outbreak around the world. The premise is while working on a strange biological compound in the lab of the international space station; an undetected meteor shower damages the hull and causes the compound to be sucked out into space. It hits our atmosphere and the heat causes it to mutate and dissipate; merging with our oxygen. Gradually the infection spreads over a period of time breathing it in and through the rain causing some people and animals to become flesh-eating zombies.
How To Enter:
Create a cover using zombies taking over a city or town. Entry must be sent initially in low resolution 150 DPI JPG to GWP art director Hector Rodriguez at hbdeviant@yahoo.com.
Final art will need to be 600 DPI Tiff format. The winner will be notified via email. Deadline For All Entries will be July 1st 2010 at midnight.
Art Requirements:
All entries must be in full color and fit a 6x9 book format. If your artwork is selected as either a first or second prize the artwork will need to be sent high-resolution 600dpi tiff format.
Eligibility:
The GWP cover contest is open to legal residents of the United States (50 states and District of Columbia, but specifically excluding the territory of Puerto Rico) who are aged eighteen (18) and over as of the date of entry. Artists that are already illustrating story for WCS book are eligible.
Winners/Prize:
First Prize winner will receive 100.00 cash prize and their artwork will be used for the cover of Worst Case Scenarios: Outbreak
Second prize winner will receive 50.00 cash prize and their illustration will be used for either the inside interior art or back cover art for Worst Case Scenarios: Outbreak
