Optimos Sponsors Servathon 2010 to Support Local Community
Reston, VA, May 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Volunteers contribute to the work at the St. John’s Community Service New Castle Home
As part of its ongoing commitment to help the local community, Reston-based technology solutions company, Optimos, Inc. contributed workers and financial support to the Greater DC Cares Servathon while working at St. John’s Community Service (SJCS) – New Castle Home (in Northern Fairfax). “Being a good corporate citizen means that we need to give back to our community in whatever way we can,” says Sanjay Puri, CEO of Optimos.
During their time there, Optimos staff assisted in the landscaping the front and side yards, the painting the living room, kitchen, dining room and downstairs hallway and the construction of a bench area for residents. SJCS is a nonprofit, community-based organization that supports children and adults with intellectual, developmental, physical and other disabilities. SJCS’s “support without walls,” activist approach, enables people with disabilities to fully participate in and become contributors to the communities of their choice in our education, employment, adult day, and residential services.
