Big Win for EnFuzion3D at MDeC Malaysia
Axceleon's, EnFuzion3D, a high performance render farm management software wins a bid for MDeC in Malaysia. MDeC is a high powered agency focused on the success of MSC Malaysia and companies operating in it. This agency advises the Malaysian Government on legislation and policies, develops MSC Malaysia specific practices and sets standards for multimedia operations.
Huntington Beach, CA, June 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Axceleon™, a leader in high performance cloud computing solutions for render farms, computational grids and cloud environments announced today its EnFuzion3D software was selected by MDeC Malaysia as render farm management software to run on a 128 node IBM BladeCenter.
Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), is a high-powered 'one-stop agency' focused on ensuring the success of MSC Malaysia and the companies operating in it. MDeC’s role is to advise the Malaysian Government on legislation and policies, develop MSC Malaysia-specific practices, and set breakthrough standards for multimedia operations. They also promote MSC Malaysia locally and globally, as well as support companies which are located within MSC Malaysia.
The recent MDeC RFP was for a 128 node high performance computing (HPC) cluster with each render node requiring 8 cores for use by CG companies in Kuala Lumpur and across Malaysia. EnFuzion was specified as a mandatory, required component in the MDeC RFP for render farm management software.
“Taking into account MDeC’s mission, which is to realize Malaysia as a global hub and preferred location for ICT and multimedia innovations, services and operations, this major investment in 128 nodes of IBM BladeCenter and our EnFuzion3D software certainly confirms MDeC takes its mission very seriously,” said Mary Keogh, chief operating officer at Axceleon. “We are pleased our EnFuzion3D software was included in the initial MDeC RFP, indicating their trust and confidence in our products and even more excited when IBM won the bid for the 128 node HPC cluster. The combination of IBM BladeCenter technology and EnFuzion3D‘s mission critical render farm management enables a cost-effective, high-performance rendering environment delivering proven on-demand rendering capability to MDeC,” commented Mary Keogh.
