B-TEK Scales, LLC Fabricates Side by Side Truck Scale Solution for Global Provider of Steel Mill Services, Located in Canada

Canton, OH, May 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- B-TEK Scales, LLC. distributor, Alectronic Scales Inc of Ancaster, Ontario, coordinated the sale and installation of a dual truck scale solution. Because of Alectronic’s knowledge and experience working with Measurement Canada and their established relationship and proximity to the facility, the entire project was completed on time and without complication. The end-user is the largest provider of outsourced services to steel mills in North America and one of the largest globally. Their need was for a scale that could weigh scrap metal via an 80-ton TEREX off-road dump truck. The end user contract their services to U.S. Steel Canada, a subsidiary of United States Steel Corporation. Alectronic worked hard to make sure that the specs were met by working closely with B-TEK. A B-TEK “Big Bertha” scale was used: 60’ long by 16’ wide with a 400,000 lb capacity and a 150,000lb CLC. The scale consists of two side-by-side platforms each 60’ long x 8’ wide.
