Audio Tours Can Extend Vacation Length
79.5% of the respondents stated that they would extend their vacation in order to visit one of the locations mentioned on the audio traveling companion. Nearly 90% of the adults indicated that they would modify their trip itinerary to visit locations described on a track. In contrast, 51% stated they would modify their trip by something they saw on a website.
Los Angeles, CA, May 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- City Concierge, Inc. the marketing firm behind City Concierge Reservations, an independent central resort reservation agency has determined that visitors are more likely to extend their vacation stay when they are presented with an audio tour guide prior to travel.
As part of the support and sponsorship given to Roadside Heritage, a series of audio tours about Highway 395 the road traveled through Inyo and Mono Counties to destinations such as Mammoth Mountain, Bishop, Lone Pine and Lee Vining in California, City Concierge’s close tie to this community resulted in the company creating the marketing for the 3 audio travel companions explaining the culture and heritage of the surrounding areas along the highway. Included in the topics were stories about early pioneers, the early days of Mammoth Mountain, Mono Lake, alpine flora, fauna and archaeology. Audio CDs were produced and are distributed by local visitor bureau agencies, chambers of commerce and at tourist locations. Receivers were asked to participate in a focus group / survey and the results were very revealing.
