Lutheran Settlement House - Women of Courage: Women of Inspiration! recognizes nine outstanding women, one woman who has distinguished herself by overall commitment to the wellbeing of Philadelphians and two women in each of the four areas of LSH’s work: bilingual domestic violence; community education and employment training; senior services, and homeless services - one woman who has been an advocate in the area and one who has received services, overcome challenges, and given back.
Jane Addams Award Recipient 2010 – The Honorable Marian B. Tasco.
Councilwoman Tasco is widely recognized as one of Philadelphia's most influential, politically savvy, and pro-active public officials. Elected to her sixth term as City Council Representative for the Ninth District in November 2007, Councilwoman Tasco represents more than 155,000 residents in the Northeast and Northwest sections of Philadelphia.

Four advocates - Dr. Lori Shorr, Office of the Mayor; Deborah Harley, District Attorney's Office; Jennine Miller, Project H.O.M.E.; and Rennie Cohen, Aging Positively, LLC.
Four Recipients of LSH Services, former participants in each of LSH's service areas who have overcome obstacles in their own lives and given back to their communities.
