Premier Sports Tours Spreads its Wings with Expansion into Leisure Europe Market
Due to market demand Premier Sports Tours has created gr8tours.ca to service all non-sports tours to Europe
Surrey, Canada, November 26, 2006 --(PR.com)-- PREMIER Sports Tours specializes in taking sports teams to Europe to compete and tour. The company has built an extensive network of European sports contacts and tour suppliers over the years that provide exceptional value to travel teams.
George Grandy, President and CEO comments “One of our European suppliers just celebrated their 100th year in business. They know every nook and cranny in Europe and they take very good care of our travelers while there”. Due to word-of-mouth successes of his tours, Grandy has been asked on numerous occasions to do leisure (non-sport) tours to Europe. To satisfy this market, GR8TOURS.CA was born and will kick off 2007 with 6 wine-tasting culinary tours to Tuscany and 2 tours to France. One of the Tuscany tours is reserved exclusively for teachers and their companions.
GR8TOURS also has access to other tour companies (elsewhere in the world) and their products through its booking portal “Book It Now”. Grandy states “cooperation rather than competition between tour companies is becoming the norm”.
Meanwhile PREMIER Sports Tours has been busy developing tours and tournaments to Europe for Christmas break, March break, and Summer 2007. A recent strategic alliance with Crosby Golf Vacations of Burnaby has put a new twist on an old theme – Hockey and Golf. Grandy and CPGA Pro Dave Crosby have collaborated to develop 2 men’s hockey tournaments plus golf excursions. The first is in Thailand in late March and the second is in Switzerland in mid May. Grandy exclaims “the Thailand trip is very popular and of course provokes the obvious question – ‘Can you guys really get ice in Thailand?’ When the answer comes back ‘yes we have the arena for 5 days’, they shake their head in amazement”.
What about the average youth sports team? “Premier Sports has a division dedicated to travel and hotel arrangements for teams and tournament directors within North America”. Grandy goes on to say “this service is led by Sherry Bogle, our Travel Teams and Tournaments Director”. Sherry has been doing this for many years and has a solid track record of satisfied clients, both teams and tournaments, throughout Western Canada.
As online bookings in the travel industry continues to grow at a rapid pace, many small to medium size tour companies, B & B’s, and hotels find it difficult to justify expensive booking and reservation software. Recently Grandy has been working with a software firm to develop affordable software that any small operator can afford. Grandy says “It is a powerful piece of software that saves me countless hours of administrative work.
