Lifft Slings Demonstrates the Best Way to Use a Baby Sling at the NEC Baby Show

Lifft Slings will be demonstrating the many ways to use a Lifft Sling, as well as the T.I.C.K.S system for using any baby sling, at the NEC Baby Show

Nottingham, United Kingdom, May 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Lifft Sling range of baby slings will be available at this year’s NEC Baby Show in Birmingham, the one –stop-shop that offers expert advice, unbeatable shopping and fabulous entertainment.

The Lifft Sling can be used with newborn babies through to toddlers aged three weighing up to 35llbs. The clasp and buckle-free sling can be worn in five different ways to allow this. Lifft’s founder and mother to Charlie and George, will be demonstrating the different sling carrying positions that make Lifft such a flexible accessory.

Lifft is also a member of the National Consortium of UK Sling Manufacturers, which has compiled advice for the best use of a sling - T.I.C.K.S. This stands for; Tight In view at all times Close enough to kiss Keep chin off chest Supported back

Founder and Managing Director Louise Day said: “Buying a baby sling is perhaps one of the most important decisions new parents make, as they’ll use it on a daily basis, often for years. That’s why it’s so important for me to take Lifft to baby shows, as it gives me the opportunity to show new mums, and mums-to-be exactly how to use the sling properly to keep their baby close and safe. Everything is so new for first time parents that it’s great to be able to give them that confidence boost and also to give them the opportunity to try the slings for themselves before buying.”

Up to 83% of women experience some kind of backache during pregnancy, which can continue once the baby is born. Choosing the right sling not only keeps baby close, but can help support parents’ spines and backs, by helping them carry the baby in the best way possible, to help avoid any permanent effects.

Lifft Slings is believed to be the only baby sling scientifically proven to improve posture whilst carrying a baby. Independent research undertaken by the Biomechanical Department of the University of Central Lancashire found that the Lifft baby sling can improve posture, by helping parents to carry the baby at their centre of gravity and encouraging them to stand up straight. Also, it doesn't place any pressure on a baby's developing spine, keeping them in the recommended carrying position.

The Lifft Sling is available in three different colour combinations in sizes from 8-10 through to 18-20, as well as S, M and L sizes for new dads too.

Visitors to the NEC Baby Show can also enter a competition to win a Lifft Sling – visit stand C60 for more details.
