Risk in Business Intelligence Projects – Inspirational and Beneficial
TAH bucks the trend once again and will be asking business leaders to embrace risk in Business Intelligence initiatives, at a London Business Intelligence Round Table
London, United Kingdom, May 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- TAH, a niche Business Intelligence Consultancy, recently invited business leaders to a series of Business Intelligence Round Tables. These Round Tables have become a focus for many business practitioners where they can meet their peers and identify common issues and trends affecting Business Intelligence.
Risk is ever present and eminently exploitable; just managing it in an attempt to deliver a better result is not the best strategy for BI. “During the session on 17th June we will examine the different elements of risk that can feature in and influence business intelligence and how we can use them to secure positive advantage and a successful outcome,” said Philip Louis, CEO. The Round Table being held in June 2010 focuses on how risk should be treated as an opportunity to be embraced and not a catalyst that triggers red lights and jeopardises the project. The day will address new perspectives that help master some of the complexities in a project to deliver better results for corporate performance.
The theme for a previous event held in March was Business driven ‘time to value’ and this was represented by twelve large organisations, which looked at approaches to establish a foundational information platform using a short ‘landscape’ exercise. With this approach, one can scale the business requirement and supply internal sponsors with initial confidence they require in the process.
The BI round tables have become a favourite hub for serious business people and IT practitioners to discuss and debate. These Round Tables attract decision makers who have responsibility for the direction, implementation and oversight of the BI platforms within the business. The focus of these BI events is discussion and debate of the range of people’s experiences and sharing practical solutions in a structured and facilitated manner. The discussions from these events have manifested into innovative solutions practised and deployed in real environments. They look forward to another stimulating session which will be facilitated by the CEO of TAH, Philip Louis.
