IHMG Recording Artist the Sistah is "The Lady in Red" in For Colored Girls
New York, NY, May 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Ironhorse Music Group singer/songwriter The Sistah makes her acting debut in an off-Broadway production of For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow is Enuf. Written by Ntozake Shange and directed by by Steven Hitt, For Colored Girls is a passionate and fearless look at what it means to be of color and female in the twentieth century. The Sistah plays the "Lady In Red." This ground breaking dramatic prose poem written in vivid and powerful language still resonates with unusual beauty its fierce message to the world. The play is now being developed in to a screenplay by Tyler Perry.
