Career Agents Network Partners with Hire Heroes USA
Career Agents Network has partnered with Hire Heroes USA to raise money to help veterans secure jobs after their tour of duty.
Wixom, MI, May 29, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Career Agents Network has partnered with Hire Heroes USA for the annual 100 Holes for our Heroes, benefiting the efforts of Hire Heroes USA to help returning veterans secure employment in civilian roles.
During an interview on CSPAN on April 11, 2010, Brian Stan, Executive Director of Hire Heroes USA, said, "When you talk about interviewers looking at resumes and not understanding, or because they're not familiar or comfortable with what they see on paper, stereotypes come to mind or they're just naturally more inclined to go toward a resume or hire someone that comes from their specific background. I think it's a very sad statistic that over 30% of our homeless people are veterans.”
"We love our veterans and want to show as much support as possible as they return to us from deployment," said Charlotte Byndas, Chief Operating Officer of Career Agents Network. "We're excited to partner with Hire Heroes USA to help our veterans find meaningful employment when they return.”
Career Agents Network will donate $100 for every new member who joins until July 4th. According to the Hire Heroes USA website, it costs roughly $2,000 to place a veteran.
"We all know someone who is either serving actively, or who has served. In my time in the employment arena, I have seen over again how veterans are often overlooked," said Paul Helm, president of Career Agents Network. "At Career Agents Network, we're committed to helping our veterans in every way we can. We're here to help those ready to step into the life of an entrepreneur as well as support those who need a more traditional position.”
