New Online Service Making It Easier to Send Military Care Packages to Soldiers Overseas
A new online service has been created that allows friends and family members of soldiers to send care packages to troops overseas. The site allows its visitors to create and send custom care packages in minutes.
Bradenton, FL, May 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Friends and family members of soldiers stationed overseas now have an excitingly simple way to send care packages to their loved ones who are deployed. TroopCarePack.com was created for just this purpose. The site allows users to choose individual items as well as packages to send directly overseas to an APO or FPO address they provide. These packages are sent complete with a handwritten card.
Co-Founder of TroopCarePack.com, James Newton, shares how the service was conceived. "Having family stationed overseas ourselves, we recognized the time it took to shop, pack, and send a package overseas and we wanted to make it easier for others. We found a lot of sites that accepted donations, but very few that would allow you to send a package directly to a soldier you knew. We knew that by making it easier for people to send packages, the troops would see more support in the form of packages."
Troops recently have seen over 500 care packages from this service and the service expands daily. Products are being requested and added constantly to meet the requests of visitors. James says, "The orders are coming in at a rate we didn't expect and its clear that people want to send things overseas, but weren't sure how or weren't able." Since the service has gone live, hundreds of soldiers have received care packages through TroopCarePack.com and the number grows daily in a show of national support for our brave men and women overseas.
